Meet Dr. Robert Zax

Dr. Robert Zax is the founder and Managing Member of The Skin Group which was established in 1997. He is a Louisville native and a graduate of St. Xavier High School, Bellarmine College and University of Louisville School of Medicine. Dr. Zax is a Board Certified Dermatologist and a Board Certified Micrographic Dermatologic Surgeon. Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery (formerly known as MOHS Surgery) is an advanced treatment procedure for the total removal of skin cancer and offers the highest potential for a complete cure. Dr. Zax has been performing MOHS surgery for over 30 years in the Kentuckiana area.

In medical school Dr. Zax was going to apply in either Orthopedic or Cardiovascular Surgery but when he started his dermatology rotation he fell in love with how visual the field of dermatology was. He learned that Dermatologists have the ability to do numerous outpatient surgical procedures, and the combination of visual diagnosis with hands-on procedures sealed the deal for him. Reconstructive surgery is rewarding because each case is so unique and every case is a challenge. Dr. Zax loves interacting and building relationships with his patients. He finds satisfaction in putting his patients at ease and relieving their fears and anxiety. Dr. Zax loves owning his local, family owned practice, The Skin Group, because he is able to care for his patients as he sees fit and not having to answer to a corporate owner.

Dr. Robert H. Zax has been acknowledged as a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, a Founding Member of the American Board of Medical Specialties and is a fellow of the American College of Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Zax was also named one of the “Best Doctors in America” (1999-2000, 2001-2002, 2005-2006, 2009-2010, 2011-2012, 2016-2017).

Meet William Warrick, PA-C

William Warrick (“Billy”) received a Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Kentucky. Billy has over 20 years of specialized experience in dermatology including preliminary diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of skin conditions as well as treatment of skin lesions both benign and malignant.

Billy found himself taken with skin procedures and conditions very early on in school and felt that Dermatology was a natural fit for him. Billy’s favorite part of being a Dermatology provider is that: “It is truly rewarding to offer insight and experience that helps someone.”

Billy has been practicing General Dermatology with The Skin Group for the past 18 years. He believes that The Skin Group has a close knit, family feel and the practice is long established which means a great deal for the Kentuckiana community. Billy is currently accepting new patients of all ages.

Meet Brianna Langenkamp, PA-C

Brianna Langenkamp, PA-C is a native of Southern Indiana. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of the Cumberlands in Southeast Kentucky. After spending time working in genetic sequencing and a medical device company, she later attended the Harding University Physician Assistant Program in Arkansas.

Following graduation, Brianna began her dermatology practice in Arkansas. She later moved to Northern Virginia to continue her dermatology career, before returning home to the Kentuckiana area. Brianna prides herself on a passion for early skin cancer detection and discussing preventative skincare measures with her patients. She loves being able to develop close relationships with her patients, whether it is for a skin check or treating chronic skin conditions, but most importantly visibly seeing improvement in her patient’s skin.

Brianna lives in Southern Indiana with her husband, two children, and their three dogs. Her outside interests include hiking, running, gardening, baking, and traveling. Brianna is currently accepting patients of all ages.

Meet Tyler Roshak, PA-C

Originally from the Metro-Detroit area, Tyler Roshak attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. He later received his Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Evansville in Southern Indiana. Tyler began his Dermatology career here in Louisville in both clinical dermatology and dermatologic research.

Tyler enjoys the variety that Dermatology offers whether it is improving a rash/itch, treating and preventing skin cancer or just making someone feel more comfortable in their skin. Tyler’s favorite part of being a Dermatology Provider is the relationships he builds with his patients and the opportunity to see them improve. He loves working for a local, family owned practice because it enables him to put the patient first.

Tyler possesses expertise in diagnosing a wide range of skin conditions including the management of benign and malignant skin lesions and the treatment of acne, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, warts, and more.

Tyler’s outside interests include hiking, golfing, cooking and music. Tyler is currently accepting patients of all ages.

Meet Tanisha Ellison
Aesthetic Nurse/Injector

Tanisha is an LPN and will obtain her degree as a Registered Nurse from WKU in early 2025. Not only does she have a medical background as a nurse, she is certified with Cynosure/Ultra Clear Lasers, Galderma Aesthetics, Allergan Aesthetics, Diamond Glow, ZO Skin Health Expert and many other aesthetic services.

Tanisha was drawn to aesthetics because she found a passion with the combination of beauty and science. While training in this field she found herself feeling that it was not a job but a calling to help others feel the best version of themselves. Continued education is taken very seriously at The Skin Group as the aesthetic world changes very quickly with new technology and treatments and this ensures safety and success with our patients. Tanisha provides education to her patients from medical grade skincare products to more invasive treatments including dermal fillers, Sculptra and laser services.

In her free time Tanisha enjoys pilates, spending time with her family and coaching cheer and dance.

Christina Crawford is a nationally Board-Certified Nurse who was born and raised in the Louisville area. Christina went to the University of Louisville where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011. She is certified with Cynosure/Ultra Clear Lasers, Galderma Aesthetics, Allergan Aesthetics, Diamond Glow, and many other aesthetic services. Having over 13 years of diverse experiences from emergency medicine to working in outpatient surgery with multiple plastic surgeons, her passion is working in the aesthetic field.

Christina received extensive training by highly qualified world-renowned injector, Dr. Assassa who is Board Certified from the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery of Beverly Hills Aesthetics. Christina is also a member of the AAAMS Network where she is constantly learning and researching better ways to provide safe and result-oriented treatments.

As a child Christina always had a passion for making people feel good about themselves whether it was doing hair or make-up. This drove her to become a Registered Nurse and enter the Aesthetics field. The most satisfying part of her job is the journey of transformation with her patients. In the aesthetic world you can build people’s confidence and change their lives and make them feel comfortable in their own skin.

When not at work, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters.
