What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure which involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger. You might also hear it called collagen induction therapy.  During this procedure we infuse those small wounds with peptides and growth factors which can amplify your bodys ability to stimulate collagen thus providing incredible results.

What is microneedling with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)?

Similar to the above treatment, however it begins with a blood draw to create your own growth factors from your platelets (which are one of the components of blood).  A practitioner will take a blood sample and then use a spinning tool called a centrifuge to separate the PRP from the rest of the blood. PRP contains proteins, including growth factors and cytokines. These proteins help skin tissue repair itself. The addition of PRP from the blood may make microneedling more effective. Once your PRP is ready the traditional Microneedling procedure will resume and the PRP will be infused into the small wounds to encourage collagen production and cell reproduction.
